Homelessness

Lincoln Action Program is a HUD-certified mortgage counseling center. They provide referrals for 1^st time home buyers and for 2^nd mortgages for home repairs, as well as help with delinquent mortgage payments. Call 402-471-4515.

Other services include: basic and emergency needs such as rent deposits, past due rent or utilities, prescriptions, homeless resettlement services, education and job skills development, holiday gift-giving program, back-to-school clothing, supplies, and immunizations, etc.

Find a homeless shelter nearest you. This resource was created for people who want to find and donate food and/or supplies to their local shelter. We provide as much information as possible for each shelter.

The purpose of NHAP is to provide an overall "Continuum of Care" approach to address the needs of people who are homeless and near homeless in Nebraska.
