SHARE Program 1-888-742-7372 Provides $25-30 worth of meat, potatoes, fruits and vegetables in exchange for $14 a month, plus 2 hours of community service. Anyone eligible.

Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.

Submit an article to your association, church or synagogue newsletter.

Find out where your elected representative stand on the issues.

Question candidates on their plans to fight hunger--and hold them to their promises.

Become active in an anti-hunger organization. Contact your Community Action Agency, local food pantry, the Food Bank of Lincoln at (402) 466-8170, or the Food Bank of Omaha at (402) 331-1213.

Volunteer at a soup kitchen, food pantry or food bank.

Make a financial contribution to your local anti-hunger organization.

Visit the Congressional Hunger Center and offer your assistance.

Contact Governor Johanns, U.S. Senators Ben Nelson and Chuck Hagel, or your State Senator.
